Meet the Pro-Badge Team

Our volunteer team brings together experienced Scout leaders and assessors dedicated to delivering practical, engaging badge courses for young people.

Core leadership team

Clive Clark (Scissors)

Over 40 years experience in UK Scouting across multiple sections including Scouts, Venture Scouts, Explorers and Leader training. Joining Pro-Badge to run the Hiker Badge, Clive Clark (aka Scissors) has now led Pro-Badge for over a decade and overseen it’s evolution to become a County Activity Team.

Elaine Crowe (Snowy)

ASSISTANT CAMP LEADER SCOUTS

Elaine Crowe aka “Snowy” has been organising and co-ordinating Pro-Badge training weekends since the early days of it’s foundation, the administration required for logistical items (such as food, attendees and equipment for the weekend) all happens alongside her other activities running Guides & Brownies groups!

Jamie Crowe (Muck)

ASSISTANT CAMP LEADER SCOUTS

Jamie has been attending Pro-Badge since he was a few months old and over time has led our outdoor activities such as Forester and Back Woods badges, now being an assistant camp leader for the Scouts and helping plan and co-ordinate all badges over the Pro-Badge weekends alongside the rest of the team.

Sharon Hargreaves (Fox)

ASSISTANT CAMP LEADER CUB SCOUTS

Having attended Pro-Badge since Venture Scouts, Fox now runs the Cub section activities and is involved with Guiding & Brownies alongside Pro-Badge, you will see Fox on all weekends, usually with a clipboard and activity equipment, helping to ensure Cub Scouts learn and have fun on our training weekends

Sarah Sluman (Swan)

ASSISTANT CAMP LEADER CUB SCOUTS

Swan has been involved for many years with Pro-Badge and helps with both the organisation of weekends and assisting during activities alongside Scissors, Fox, Snowy and the other leaders, ensuring everything runs smoothly and planning and organising badges throughout the Pro-Badge season

Steve Lee (Hair Bear)

COOKHOUSE TEAM LEAD

The Pro-Badge weekends involve a team of people in our kitchens and Steve and his team keep everyone well fed throughout the day, ensuring that no-one goes hungry and all participants are catered for – the setup, catering and ultimate clear up from weekends involves many people working from very early to late in the evening!

Andy Ratcliffe (Rats)

STORES CONTROLLER

Having attended the very first Pro-Badge weekends Andy Ratcliffe aka “Rats” maintains and organises the large amount of equipment that is essential to provide the instruction on our training weekends. Rats is also responsible for assisting with lost property for the weekends and always likes to see name tags on equipment!
